Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could just read your web page visitors’ minds?
Like, you could just KNOW what they found interesting and what parts of your page lulled them into a deep slumber that rivaled Sleeping Beauty?
Your conversions would SKYROCKET as you found content that kept them on your page for longer (well long enough to click the buy button, that is).
Well, we didn’t invent some sort of creepy AI tech that implants itself into your visitors’ brains so you can read every weird thought that passes through their heads, but we did just add a visitor analytics heat map tool.
Yup, you read that right. Kartra now tracks your visitors’ behavior from the second they land on your page, so you can make the most of every visit.
This tool will help you spot exactly what’s engaging your visitors…and well…where they’re falling off (so you can make changes with confidence).
So What Exactly Does Kartra’s Analytics Heatmap Do?
At a glance you can see the percentage of visitors that have stayed on your page for longer than 10 seconds…you know, the percentage of people that are actually interested in your content (we can safely assume the percentage of people that didn’t stay are either A: there by accident, B: quickly bored or C: never going to be a paying customer.)
Kartra will also show you the average time on a page — both for visitors on the whole, as well as visitors that stayed longer than 10 seconds longer on your page. And if you have a page that requires a bit of scrolling, you can see the average scroll percentage for all visitors and those who stayed past 10 seconds.
To get a more in-depth idea of where on your page people are dropping off, check out the colored heat map bar on the side that shows you the percentage of visitors that viewed that section.

More Insights = More Paying Customers
While it can be pretty interesting to check out your stats, they’re so much more than just a pile of data to look at once and shove into a dusty corner.
Kartra’s heatmap analytics will help you determine if your content is engaging people.
For example, if you know most of your visitors are only on your page for 8.9 seconds, you have insight that tells you to add something engaging right away to keep the user there longer, such as an autoplaying video.
Or if you notice that 100% of visitor’s view your hero section, but only 22% scroll to the second section on your page, you know that something in your hero isn’t connecting with viewers. Now you have the opportunity to adjust your headline or design and see if that helps bring people further down the page and closer to a sale.
Kartra’s scrolling heatmap will also help you determine where your sweet spot for a CTA is. If you know where on your page your visitors are scrolling (and the average scroll-depth), you can plop a CTA right in, giving you a higher chance of a visitor clicking (and buying, yay!).
I’m In. How Do I Get It?
The best part about Kartra’s new heatmap feature?
It’s built right into Kartra. No downloads. No extra purchases. And no hassles.
However (IMPORTANT!): You need to republish your pages so they incorporate the new heatmap tracking script. Until you republish the page, the heatmap won’t be able to track as it should.
Once you’ve republished your page simply navigate to “My Pages” → “Analytics” → “Visitor Analytics.”
From there, you can choose which page to view and the length of time you want data for.
What would you like to see in Kartra?
